Meet the visionary behind Waterloo Accounting Services, Dr. Wenqin Zhou. With a rich background in applied mathematics and over a decade of experience in a manufacturing environment, Dr. Zhou brings a unique perspective to the world of accounting. Having worked in various departments, from sales to manufacturing and engineering, to accounting and finance, she witnessed firsthand the transformative power of accounting in making informed operational and strategic decisions.

Driven by a passion to make accounting work for business growth, Dr. Zhou founded Waterloo Accounting Services. Her vision goes beyond traditional bookkeeping and tax returns. She aims to develop customized accounting tools, including cash flow forecasts, budgets, ratios, KPIs, and cost management systems. These tools empower business owners to monitor operational performance, improve efficiency, and align their operations with their overarching missions and visions.

Dr. Zhou started Waterloo Accounting Services to help business owners with their accounting needs and is passionate about making accounting work for her clients’ business growth.

Her vision is to develop customized accounting tools to incorporate accounting with business operations and make accounting work for business growth. Accounting is more than just bookkeeping and tax returns. With a set of customized accounting tools (such as cash flow forecast, budget, ratios, KPI, cost management system), accounting can help business owners monitor operation performance, improve operation performance, and align operation performance with their business missions and visions.

Dr. Zhou moved from London, ON where she got her PhD degree to Waterloo, ON in 2015. Since then, Waterloo has become her home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and running outdoors on a sunny day.
